Red and Green in the Alentejo

Red and Green in the Alentejo (2020) was co-designed by us and Elizabeth Laub (who also designed Building Relationships) as a gift during Covid for friends who have generously supported our work over the years. It includes 27 photographs accompanying 20 poems from our winter stay in Santiago do Escoural, Portugal. Only after our arrival did we discover how rich the region is in history from prehistoric caves and stone monuments through the Golden Age to modern and contemporary times.

A limited edition of 200 copies were privately printed.

In addition to the gift copies mentioned above, we’ll happily send along Red and Green in the Alentejo as a “bonus” to those who would like a copy and would consider for purchase Two Lenses—-Four Europes, Beneath the Midi Sun, and/or Time and Place * West and East.
